Local health news:
Now recommending everyone gets H1N1 flu vaccine

Healthy African American family

The H1N1 flu vaccine now can be given to every person, regardless of whether you fit any of the previously announced risk categories. James Riser, M.D., says the vaccination is recommended for all patients.

At Riser Medical Associates, we’ll be making it as convenient as possible for our regular patients (and even potential patients, as supplies allow) to receive the H1N1 vaccination. Just drop in at the twice weekly Flu Clinic that is held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4 to 6 p.m. Register online at risermedical.com.

For insured individuals, those using Medicaid and Medicare and for school age children, the H1N1 shot will be free. Others will pay a $10 administrative fee.

WiFi available for our patients

WiFi Zone

Do you rely on your Wireless Internet devices and smart phones even when you’re away from your office or home? Then you’ll be glad to know we have now made WiFi service available for free to our patients in our waiting and reception areas.

We’re happy to provide this convenience to our patients and their family members visiting our facility.

However, we do still ask that you turn off your cellular and WiFi devices while in the treatment rooms.
